Joel Pearcey

As a freelance photographer based in the Kitchener/Waterloo area, Joel primarily documents life on 35mm and medium format film throughout different subjects and genres. Since 2015, Joel has been in love with capturing true emotion and expression as well as sharing special moments with others through a timeless analog medium. Currently, Joel is employed at Edge Imaging as the main studio photographer as well as a field photographer capturing school and graduation photos for students of all ages. He also works alongside many small businesses and nightclubs in the local area in addition to independent artists to help grow the creative scene in his city. Joel also has taken photos for larger organizations to assist in documenting sporting and charity events. For 2 years he worked as a lab technician at BJ Photo Labs specializing in high-end custom prints, enlargements, photo retouching, and specialized film services. It is hard to find Joel without an analog camera ready at his hip capturing the beauty in the mundane.
